Q&A

What are you most proud of in your career?
Making meaningful connections with the people I work with day in and day out – colleagues, clients and media alike.

Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
My sleepless nights in college were primarily due to early mornings rowing on the Charles River and late nights singing in stairwells with my a cappella group.

How would your mother describe you?
In a way that would undoubtedly make me simultaneously blush and beam.

What are your greatest strengths as a communications practitioner?
I’d say my greatest strength is empathy. Whether a client is bogged down by red tape or challenging parameters, a reporter is swamped on deadline or a colleague is going through growing pains, I do my best to put myself in their shoes and see the situations through their eyes. That perspective allows me to be a better partner and teammate across the board.

What is your favorite food?
Would you judge me if I told you it’s a Wawa hoagie?

Describe your perfect client.
The perfect client views my team as a true partner and collaborator – an extension of their internal team. They also value creativity – whether embracing a unique take on a pitch or a bigger idea. In financial services, creativity can be scarce. I love working with clients who are willing to think a little differently about how to reach their audiences.

What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
Weekend walks through the botanic garden with my husband and toddler, exploring Colorado with family and friends – and reading a great book.

What’s your favorite part of the workday?
One-off calls with clients or colleagues when we have that “aha” moment together about how to overcome a challenge – big or small.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
Amy Schumer. I’m my own favorite punch line.
