NEW YORK, NY – November 28, 2012 – Jennifer Prosek, CEO and founder of Prosek Partners, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Public Relations (IPR), an independent foundation dedicated to the science beneath the art of public relations™ and focused on research that is applicable in communications practice.
Ms. Prosek was appointed to join existing IPR officers and board members Gary Sheffer, vice president, corporate communications and public affairs, General Electric Company, who has been elected as treasurer, and newly appointed Trustees David Albritton, vice president and chief communications officer for Exelis; Terence Flynn, Ph.D., faculty member, McMaster University; Michele Galen, head of communications, Novartis International; Christopher Graves, global CEO, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide; James Spangler, chief communications officer, Navistar; and Michael Stewart, partner and global director of communications, McKinsey and Company.
The Trustees elected to join the Board will serve to broaden IPR’s international expertise and reinforce its dedication to providing communicators with actionable research and intelligence. The Institute noted that social media, measurement standards, employee communications, and neuroscience and public relations will be the core directives for research in the year ahead.
