No segment of the public relations business is more difficult to break into than the high-stakes, high-margin corporate and financial communications realm, one dominated by long-established firms and businesses with deep-pocketed parents. That makes Jen Prosek’s achievements over the past decade or so all the more remarkable, as Prosek Partners has established itself in the front rank of PR and IR advisors on mergers and acquisitions. In 2025, the firm ranked second on mergermarket’s global ranking in terms of volume, handling 374 deals, and was fifth in terms of deal value, as well as ranking number one on The Deal’s private equity rankings by volume and featuring prominently on Bloomberg’s list of corporate activism advisors.

The special situations practice represented Nuveen in its acquisition of Schroders, Cidara in its sale to Merck, LS Power in its sale to NRG, Everest Group in its transaction with AIG and Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings in its take-private. Beyond M&A, the team handled  IPOs for BETA and McGraw Hill; high-stakes bankruptcies such as Claire’s; prominent executive transitions including Moelis; and various high-profile litigation matters. And Prosek’s sports finance business, which was started only three years ago, now employs a team of 10 focused on the investors behind leagues and teams and has supported PE firm Carlyle’s partnership with F1 racing, Mark Walter’s purchase of the LA Lakers, Blue Owl’s global tennis partnerships and KKR’s acquisition of Arctos Partners.

Prosek founded her eponymous firm in 1991, with the vision of helping the financial services sector become more proactive—and far more creative—around brand and reputation management. The firm’s offer now covers media relations, thought leadership, social and digital media, public affairs, investor relations, financial communications, transaction services, crisis communications and issues management, content creation, conference support, publishing, media training and more. And in 2021, Prosek stepped up its ESG credentials by taking a majority stake in sustainable finance consultancy, Blue Dot Capital.

The firm strengthened its leadership team with 15 new hires at the senior VP level and above, including Stephen Lewis, former Blackstone EMEA head of corporate affairs, as Partner in London and David Roady, former chief communications officer at Domino’s Pizza, in a newly created role as head of chief communications officer intelligence. There were also three partner promotions for Deirdre Bolton, Josh Clarkson and Jon Schwartz. The firm’s employee Give Back initiative spent nearly 500 volunteer hours across the cities it operates in and donated more than $7,000 to causes personally important to its people.
