NEW YORK - November 4, 2015 – Prosek Partners, a leading independent public relations and financial communications firm, has launched a new series of Storytelling Workshops geared toward communications, marketing, sales and C-suite executives. The workshops are designed to uncover the most compelling stories within an organization and provide executives with the tools and techniques to tell these stories in way that helps generate real bottom line growth.
The workshop sessions are led by Partner Mark Kollar and Senior Vice President Hal Bienstock, who have more than 40 years combined experience working with leading brands to tell their stories to financial, consumer and corporate audiences.
“Research from Stanford University found that stories are 22 times more effective than facts alone,” said Bienstock. “They resonate much more deeply with people and have a massive impact in the way people evaluate brands and make purchasing decisions. By embracing the storytelling techniques found in great movies, TV shows and novels, companies can more effectively close deals, drive action and remain top of mind with their target audiences.”
The first Prosek workshop, “Storytelling Redefined” helps teams communicate more persuasively and effectively in sales presentations and negotiation scenarios by teaching executives how to use narrative building blocks, integrate statistics and emotion, and navigate the new media landscape. The presentation also studies best practices from Fortune 500 companies already using storytelling to build and enhance their reputations and brand images.
The second session, “Storytelling for Your Bottom Line” is designed to capture an organization’s unique stories, by mining for anecdotes and narratives that define the company’s culture, experiences and value proposition. Once those stories are uncovered, Prosek helps refine them and build a story database that can be used for sales and marketing presentation, speeches and other corporate communications.
