David Roady is a Senior Managing Director, Reputation Management and Strategic Transformation at Prosek Partners, where he brings practitioner-led counsel to C-suite leaders and boards navigating complex reputational, financial, and organizational challenges. A dedicated member of Prosek’s Special Situations team, David draws on deep in-house and agency experience, most recently as SVP, Chief Communications Officer and Chief of Staff to the CEO at Domino’s Pizza, and previously as Global Head of Communications at Nextdoor, where he helped scale the brand and business and led its transition to a publicly traded company.
Previously, David spent 13 years at FTI Consulting, rising to Senior Managing Director, Head of the Special Situations and M&A Practices in the Americas, advising boards and management teams on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, shareholder activism, investor relations, and crisis situations. He began his career in investment banking and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Colgate University.
Arguably my greatest impact, and certainly my proudest achievement, has been mentoring and developing the next generation of communications leadership. Over the past 20+ years, I have had the privilege of working alongside some remarkable people who began their careers under my leadership and have since become industry leaders across both agency and corporate roles.
I competed for the United States at the World Wine Tasting Championships (Championnat du Monde de Degustation organized by La Revue du Vin de France).

As we are in a talent business, my greatest strength has always been building teams and motivating people. Listening closely and giving voice to every idea at the table consistently leads to stronger outcomes.
While pizza is always good, New York style, brick oven pizza is something special.
Having had the opportunity to serve as both a Chief Communications Officer and an agency practice leader, any successful relationship starts with building trust. From there, agency and client are best served as true thought partners, grounded in candor and openness.
In my free time, I love cheering on my son, playing tennis or pickleball with my husband, and discovering new food and wine adventures – perhaps with a good book.
My favorite part of any workday is the opportunity to be in the trenches with my teams and our clients during high-velocity moments as it creates informal space for in-the-moment teaching, the kind that builds confidence, resilience, and long-term judgment.
As a Texan born in the 1970’s, I would aspire to have Matthew McConaughey in the role.
