Q & A

What are you most proud of in your public relations/ events career?
I am most proud of changing my career while leveraging my past experiences. I started my career on a trading floor at an investment bank and then worked at a hedge fund for several years. While I loved the pace and dynamics of the financial industry, I knew I wanted to something that involved more of my passion for media and storytelling. After a bit of navigating, I landed a position at Deutsche Bank in their PR department, where I was able to combine my deep understanding of the industry with my underlying interest in communications. Since then, I have never looked back and couldn’t be happier. Now, placing positive stories and killing negative ones for my clients define my proudest career moments each day.

Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
I have run four marathons, including the New York City marathon twice without training – I would not recommend that.

How would your mother describe you?
Well, considering my most recent birthday card from my mother said, “You’re a rare bird,” I am not entirely sure. But if I had to guess, she would call me independent, funny, and determined. She also likes to describe me as the “glue” of the family, as I am the middle child.

What are your greatest strengths as a public relations practitioner?
My ability to listen, synthesize information, and stay calm under pressure.

What is your favorite food?
Pizza from Rubirosa in NYC.

Describe your perfect client.
My perfect client would be someone who wants a true partner in his or her PR firm and seeks actual counsel in a crisis and/or a fresh perspective during a brand campaign.

What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
Running, traveling, and spending time with friends and family – preferably with my beagle, Maddie, tagging along.

What’s your favorite part of the workday?
The morning. I like running through my to-do’s after a workout and then executing on that list in the first couple of hours with a fresh cup of coffee.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
My sister. She’s always wanted to perform.

What is your favorite quote?
“Hold the vision, trust the process.” - Unknown
