Dan Allocca

Daniel Allocca is a marketing and strategy leader with nearly two decades of experience leading digital and brand teams for Fortune 500 asset managers and banks.

Prior to joining Prosek, Daniel was a Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Brand and Demand Generation for TIAA, Nuveen and TIAA Bank. In this role he led a team of 120 professionals across the globe and was responsible for brand strategy, digital marketing, creative development and advertising. He was also a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Group. Before TIAA, Daniel was a Senior Vice President at PIMCO where he was responsible for Digital and Marketing innovation on a global basis. Work included the launch of an award winning digital transformation across 17 countries, the launch of the PIMCO blog, the creation of numerous client tools and the formation of the firm’s first ever marketing analytics team. He also held marketing and strategy roles at Royal Bank of Scotland, Morgan Stanley and Ipsos and he is the recipient of the Gramercy Institute award for Social Marketing Excellence.

Daniel earned an MBA with a focus in Financial Engineering and Change Management from NYU Stern School of Business, a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Markets from Western Connecticut State University and a Degree in Audio Engineering from Berklee College of Music.   


Q & A

What are you most proud of in your career?
There is nothing more satisfying than making a difference in the careers of others. I am most proud of when I’ve helped someone on my team grow and prosper – I find it highly energizing and rewarding.

Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
I’m a drummer and played in several bands in the Boston area before discovering my love for marketing.

How would your mother describe you?
She will still introduce me to other grown adults as a smart cookie… endearing and embarrassing.

What are your greatest strengths as a marketing practitioner?
I fall in love with the problem and I obsess over reaching the best outcomes.

What is your favorite food?
Pizza – New Haven Style…Connecticut has the best pizza, Google it!

Describe your perfect client.
Someone who is open minded to what’s possible and views us as a strategic partner to help them grow their reputation, recognition and revenue.

What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?

  1. Cars – going to car shows, track days and watching Formula 1
  2. Sipping a good cup of coffee and listening to an album in its entirety
  3. Hiking and enjoying the outdoors

What’s your favorite part of the workday?
Early morning – before the craze of the day. Achieving results early-on sets a positive tone for the entire day

Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
Vince Vaughn – he would properly pull off the sarcasm and humor.
