Emily Tracy joined Prosek Partners in September 2008 as an account executive specializing in financial services and business-to-business public relations. Since then, she has delivered strategic value and high-profile media coverage to growth-companies and Fortune 500 organizations in a range of industries including investment banking, asset management, wealth management and professional services. Emily’s current focus is on the creative development, daily management and execution of both communications and social media programs for her clients. Emily brings extensive knowledge of the asset management and wealth management industries and their media landscape given her experience building public relations and though leadership programs for AllianceBernstein, NASDAQ OMX, Columbia Management, Bessemer Trust and Nomura.
Prior to Prosek Partners, Emily worked at Sloane & Company where she represented such clients as Take Care Health Systems, OpenSkies Airlines, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, The Internet Innovation Alliance, Boston Private Financial Holdings and Gibraltar Private Bank.
Emily received a BA in Government and Sociology at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA.
Q & A
What are you most proud of in your public relations career?
I am probably most proud of the fact that I started at Prosek Partners as an Account Executive and six years later became a Vice President. It demonstrates that hard work truly does pay off.
Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
I started my public relations career at the New York City Department of Sanitation working in the Bureau of Public Information. I had a great boss and that background definitely helped me to appreciate the advantages of working at an agency.
How would your mother describe you?
Small, but mighty.
What are your greatest strengths as a public relations practitioner?
Playing detective. I really enjoy looking for story opportunities. There’s always more than meets the eye.
What is your favorite food?
It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite food, but there is always a bag of Hershey kisses to be found in my desk.
Describe your perfect client.
A client who isn’t afraid to think outside the box. One who is interested in looking for creative solutions to solve simple problems. And one who views our relationship as an extension of their marketing team.
What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
Traveling, exercising, and exploring Brooklyn with my husband
What’s your favorite part of the workday?
The first hour of the day. It’s when I’m the most productive
