Q & A
What are you most proud of in your public relations career?
I'm most proud of my ability to adapt. I started out in consumer/luxury PR and now work on an array of top notch professional and financial services accounts. My consumer background helps me bring a touch of "fabulous to finance."
Name one thing most people don't know about you.
I play (albeit not for a while!) the Alto Saxophone. I took it up in elementary school because a teacher suggested learning an instrument more “suitable for a girl” like the violin or flute.
How would your mother describe you?
As her baby... despite my all my pouting, kicking and screaming for her not to do so.
What are your greatest strengths as a public relations practitioner?
A keen sense of anticipation that has helped me win over the toughest of clients.
What is your favorite food?
I was born in Trinidad in the West Indies where Roti is one of the popular dishes and that is my ultimate favorite, but anything spicy tends to make me happy.
Describe your perfect client.
One that looks at their PR firm as a partner as opposed to a vendor and willing to carefully weigh counsel and implement it when necessary.
What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
Travelling, shoe shopping and watching NBA games with my sister (who thinks she's a coach and constantly screaming at the TV).
What's your favorite part of the workday?
When I’ve helped a colleague or client figure out a solution to an issue.
Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
I’ve been told I resemble Taraji P. Henson if you squint your left eye a little.
What is your favorite quote?
"Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration." Thomas A. Edison
