Nadia Damouni is a Managing Director at Prosek Partners where she advises both public and private companies on communications strategies for significant business announcements, including M&A transactions, restructurings, litigation, and executive management transitions. She also leads brand-building and media relations programs to increase her clients’ profiles and promote their reputation. Prior to joining Prosek in 2017, Nadia was a Senior Vice President in Edelman’s Financial Communications & Capital Markets division where she helped grow the firm’s special situations team.
Her investment banking and asset management clients have included Alger, Bank of China USA, Cartica Management, LLC, Eldridge Industries, Fiera Capital Inc, Natixis and Nomura. She has also provided communications counsel to Allergan Plc, Boyd Gaming Corporation, Crestone Peak Resources, Cushman & Wakefield, Darden Restaurants, Discovery Communications, Hewlett-Packard Inc, Journal Media Group, Key Safety Systems, Pitney Bowes Inc, PwC and Samsung Electronics.
She spent the first part of her career as a leading financial journalist covering M&A deals, corporate governance and shareholder activism. During her time as a corporate board correspondent and team leader for M&A at Thomson Reuters, Nadia interviewed top leaders in corporate America and Wall Street.
Nadia has been nominated for several journalism awards, including a Gerald Loeb Award, and has moderated and presented on dozens of panels around the world, including the World Economic Forum in Davos. As a champion for women in business, Nadia is a member of The Quorum Initiative, and promotes gender representation on panels including at the Cayman Alternative Investment Summit. Nadia earned an MA in International Journalism from City University of London and holds a BA Honors Cum Laude in Communications from Richmond, The American International University in London.

What are you most proud of in your public relations career?
Having transitioned from a breaking news reporter, blowing the lid off some of the biggest corporate board stories, to a career in PR where I can share my experiences and knowledge with my clients.
Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
I have an identical twin sister who is also in PR, and was a former journalist. Yes, we even went to the same college together.
How would your mother describe you?
You’re so diplomatic.
What are your greatest strengths as a public relations practitioner?
My ability to maintain an even-keel even during the most contentious situations.
What is your favorite food?
Middle-Eastern cuisine all the way.
Describe your perfect client.
One that works with me as a partner, wants to collaborate and is a trailblazer that is not afraid to take a few risks.
What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
Cooking, pumping iron at the gym with my husband, and traveling to exotic locations.
What’s your favorite part of the workday?
First thing in the morning when everyone is energized and ready to combat whatever the day has in store.
