Ted Sebolsky

Ted Sebolsky joined Prosek in 2019. He is responsible for overseeing all technology operations and platforms for the firm, with an emphasis on cyber security planning and implementation, budgeting, vendor management and internal technical support.
Prior to joining Prosek, Ted managed a technical team and was the Director of Technology at a specialized consulting and merchandising firm that focused on fashion design and planning. Ted also has diverse prior experience working in the investment banking, start-up and non-profit industries.
Ted graduated with a BS in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Rhode Island.

What are you most proud of in your career?
I have been fortunate to work on some fantastic teams and have led many challenging projects and implementations, though I am most proud of how my Prosek team has met the unprecedented challenges and demands of supporting a remote workforce as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.
Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
I have had my Private Pilot license for over 20 years.
How would your mother describe you?
My mother would describe me as having a mystical power that gives me the ability to visualize and solve her complex technical conundrums. She would also say that I am funny, have endless patience, am a wonderful son and a very close friend.
What are your greatest strengths as an IT practitioner?
One of my strengths is my ability to build and maintain strong relationships with fellow business leaders and teams in order to be able to develop and execute IT strategies and platforms which best support strategic company goals and objectives.
What is your favorite food?
Kung Pow Chicken and an Egg Roll from the former Sammy’s Noodle shop in New York City.
Describe your perfect client.
My team as Prosek is primarily inwardly facing so my “clients” are the people that we support and interact with on a daily basis. In my case, the perfect “client” sees my team as a valued partner in using technology to help make everyone at Prosek successful and recognizes that we are there to provide ideas, support and solutions.
What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
I enjoy piloting small planes around Long Island, traveling with my family and staying active playing softball and going to the gym.
What’s your favorite part of the workday?
My favorite time is between 9 and 10am. By then, everyone has settled in, any pressing overnight or early morning technical needs have been addressed and the scope of the day ahead begins to come into focus.
Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
I think Bill Murray would do an excellent job capturing the essence of my wit and appreciation for irony.
