- On the theme of all things French after the Idinvest team's short trip to Paris, Emmanual Macron is making it his mission to make French the most spoken language in the world - sacre bleu! French is the 5th most spoken language in the world at the moment, though if my high school-level French classes are anything to go by, that figure might be a little skewed...
- Following escalating tensions this week stemming from the US President's tweets (no news there!) regarding a video circulated by the UK's controversial Britain First party, plans for Donald Trump's 'working visit' to the UK scheduled for January have been dropped. The controversy this week sparked reactions from several notable figures in the US and UK, several of whom criticised the President's tweets, including Theresa May who described it simply as 'wrong'.
- And the BIG news! There's officially one less lonely prince. It was announced on Tuesday that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged, taking newsrooms by storm across the globe. The two have been dating for over a year and a half and in their debut interview with the BBC appear madly in love. The reception across the UK has been overwhelmingly positive, with Megan conducting her first official engagement today in Nottingham. The happy couple will be married in May next year at Windsor Castle, so fingers crossed we get invited! Particular shout out to Harry for designing the ring himself using two diamonds from Princess Diana's collection, with the centerpiece diamond from Botswana where they fell in love - he'll be glad to know the Prosek London office approves.
