You can always find a way to talk about drones! This week, Amazon UK was granted permission to test delivery drones. The problem at the moment is drones can either only carry a very small package, or are massive aircrafts wading through the air. Amazon plans to take drones to the sky that can carry up to 25kg of packages, taking deliveries door to door. We'll see where this project takes them!
Brexit continues to dominate discussions, with Irish airline Ryanair coming out with plans to reduce its frequency of flights in the UK. It’s no surprise that Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary has been a vocal supporter of the UK remaining in the EU. Ryanair shares have climbed despite this announcement, and the company plans to focus future growth on EU nations.
Despite Brexit taking away some investment from the UK, new data from Office for National Statistics (ONS) finds that UK exports have grown faster than the global rate for the first time since 2006. There is speculation that the growth was boosted by the country's exporters moving towards non-EU markets way ahead of the EU referendum result.
