- Earlier in the week, Brexit negotiations were, and this is an official quote, “in the toilet”, but seem to be on the up with discussions between Boris Johnson and Irish PM Leo Varadkar. Both have expressed they can see “a pathway to a possible deal” to handle issues over Northern Ireland, which is one of the biggest roadblocks in negotiations. With Brexit day approaching in 20 days (31 October), it continues to be a nail-biter.
- Climate protests have reached their fifth day in London, with Extinction Rebellion occupying Trafalgar Square, as well as holding protests at London City Airport and outside the BBC offices, demanding that they ‘tell the truth’ about climate change.
- Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran teamed up this week, putting together a video on ginger mental health awareness for World Mental Health Day and asking people to reach out to the people around them to see if they’re doing OK. Watch the video here.
