Economic Budget week in the UK with the Chancellor, George Osborne, at the helm. One of the most popular changes to the country’s budget was an increase in personal allowance (the amount an individual can earn before they have to pay tax), from the £10,600 of 2015, to £11,000 in 2017. However, a cut to disability allowance has been seen as controversial across party lines, and some suggest that changes are still to come. Read More

In European news, a suspect in the Paris attacks that shook the world has been captured alive. Salah Abdeslam, a 26 year old French national, has been on the run since the attacks four months ago, which left 130 dead and many more wounded. Read More

And for some of the most random news of the week – the UK’s tallest mountain just got taller! Well, in reality absolutely nothing changed; however, upon measuring it with state of the art technology, Ben Nevis was found to be 4,413ft rather than the 4,409ft previously thought. Mad scenes!
