- Labour-Tory Brexit talks end without deal
Talks between Labour and the government aimed at breaking the Brexit impasse have ended without an agreement. Jeremy Corbyn said the discussions had "gone as far as they can", blaming what he called the government's "increasing weakness and instability". Theresa May said the lack of a "common position" within Labour over a further referendum had made talks "difficult". The prime minister said she would now consider putting options to MPs on Brexit that may "command a majority". - Tower of London welcomes first raven chicks in 30 years
Raven chicks have been born at the Tower of London for the first time in 30 years. The four new arrivals began hatching on St George's Day following the arrival of breeding pair Huginn and Muninn at the end of last year. The Tower usually has six ravens at any time and, according to legend, if they ever leave both the fortress and the kingdom will fall. Ravenmaster Yeoman Warder Chris Skaife said he felt "like a proud father". - Diners given £4,500 red wine by mistake
Lucky diners in Manchester were accidentally served a £4,500 bottle of red wine at a restaurant. Hawksmoor Manchester said on Twitter it hoped the customers had enjoyed their evening after being given the pricey 2001 bottle of Chateau le Pin Pomerol. The diners ordered a £260 Bordeaux but received the bottle "of the same vintage" which was 17 times the price.
