Give & Take: Putting Our Best Foot Forward at the Citywire Charity Run

By Ciara Paris

For the fourth consecutive year, a group from Prosek’s London office took part in the annual Citywire Charity Run, continuing what has become a summer tradition for the London team. Swapping the office for Battersea Park, the team came together to make the most of their Give Back hours while supporting St Margaret of Scotland Hospice and Tynedale Hospice at Home – two charities providing vital palliative care and support to patients and families during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Held on a sunny summer afternoon in July, this year’s event brought together more than 300 members of the wealth and asset management community – including journalists, communications teams and investment firms – all united by a shared commitment to fundraising, with a healthy dose of friendly competition thrown in.

Selected by the Citywire Charity Committee because of their personal significance to Citywire colleagues, both charities provide specialist palliative care alongside practical, emotional and bereavement support for patients and their families. This year’s event raised an incredible £21,500, with Prosek’s donation helping to make a meaningful contribution to both organizations and the essential work they do.

Participants had the choice of completing either a 5K or 10K route before rounding off the afternoon with some well-earned pizza and plenty of conversation. Whether running or walking, the afternoon was a fantastic opportunity to come together outside the office for a meaningful cause. It was also a reminder of the strength of the wider wealth and asset management community, with so many people giving up their time to charities making a difference in communities across the UK.

As the Citywire Charity Run remains a fixture in our London office calendar, we’re already looking forward to taking part again next year and continuing to support important causes.
