The Vendor Client Relationship In The Real World

Those of us that work in the agency world are all too familiar with the challenging dance that occurs when we have budget negotiations with clients and/or prospects. For that matter, all who work for vendor companies understand the unique style of negotiation that can take place. “I’d like you to provide your full suite of services, but I can only pay a fraction of what it costs. That shouldn’t be a problem right?” Sound familiar?

At a recent professional development session, which we coin as “Orange U,” our presenter shared with us a great video that poked fun at the vendor/client relationship and what it would look like in the real world. The video is a great example of how to use humor, situational observation and digital media to make a broader point. That's probably why the short has received nearly two million views on YouTube. Kudos to Scofield Editorial, the producers of the video, on a job well done.
