IT Support Apprentice

The IT Support Apprentice is responsible for working under the direction of the IT Support team to assist with the daily operations of a fast-paced public relations firm experiencing rapid growth. We are looking for an eager junior IT person that is proactive, not afraid to take on new tasks, and has an overall "can-do" attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot and resolve common software and hardware issues in a quick and efficient manner
  • Run regular software updates, latest security patches, etc. to ensure that all machines are up to date and protected
  • Set up computers, phones and desks for new hires
  • Printer upkeep and maintenance
  • Assist with IT-related meeting setup

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • Internship or other equivalent exposure to working in IT support
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 Operating systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of iPhones and Android phones
  • Experience working with Laptop and desktop hardware
  • Entry level or classroom exposure to Active Directory (creating, disabling, modifying accounts)
  • Entry level or classroom exposure to Office 365 Administration or Exchange Admin Center experience
  • Must be willing to commute to NYC office 2-4 days a week 

Preferred Skills:

  • Mac operating systems and hardware knowledge
  • Microsoft Teams experience
  • Basic networking fundamentals understanding (DNS/DHCP/etc.)
  • Computer hardware repair and part replacement

NYC salary - $17/hour
