Deirdre Bolton Moving from ABC News to Prosek Partners, Joining as Managing Director

Deirdre BoltonNew York, NY – January 10, 2023 – Veteran business news correspondent and anchor Deirdre Bolton has found a new home: Prosek Partners.

Bolton, who previously worked at ABC News, is joining Prosek Partners, a leading integrated communications and marketing firm, where she will contribute to Prosek’s crisis communications, executive-level media training, thought leadership and events teams.

“I am excited to bring my knowledge of the financial markets and media to Prosek,” said Bolton. “I'm looking forward to partnering with our clients during their challenging moments, while also supporting their long-term goals.”

An accomplished journalist and TV anchor, Bolton brings her wealth of experience from ABC News, Fox Business Network/Fox News and Bloomberg TV to Prosek; she is known for being adept at translating complex financial concepts into understandable ideas and facts.

“Deirdre’s deep financial experience combined with her journalist background, make her a wonderful addition for Prosek,” said Managing Partner Jen Prosek. “Her warm personality, intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit are also a perfect fit for our culture. We could not be happier that she has decided to join the firm.”

During the past two and a half years, Bolton has covered the global economic consequences of the pandemic and the land war in Europe for “World News Tonight,” “Good Morning America,” “Nightline” and “GMA-3.” Throughout her TV career, she has been on the ground for numerous events that have shaped our era. In 2018, Bolton covered the North Korea–United States Singapore Summit and its economic implications for the US and Asia. She reported live from the ground following the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks, focusing on their economic effects, including what they meant for a country and region where tourism is a huge part of GDP.

Bolton also extensively covered the 2007-2008 financial crisis, launching a show at Bloomberg TV called “Money Moves with Deirdre Bolton,” a nod to money moving out of stocks and bonds and into alternative assets. During this time, she provided straightforward, daily explanations of the global financial meltdown and ways the audience could find much-needed help.

Before working in TV, Bolton started her career on Wall Street selling European equities to U.S. portfolio managers. Having lived and worked in London, Paris and Singapore, Bolton currently resides in New York City with her two boys and their dog, Rockie.
