Bryan Darrow

Bryan Darrow has more than 15 years of experience providing strategic counsel to clients in a range of areas, including corporate positioning and reputation management, mergers and acquisitions and crisis communications. Bryan also has significant experience leading media relations and thought leadership campaigns for clients in the financial space.

Prior to joining Prosek, Bryan spent six years at Brunswick Group, working to shape the corporate stories of several major financial institutions, including Santander Holdings USA, Wells Fargo, Moody’s, U.S. Bank, Fidelity and BNY Mellon. He also has significant M&A experience ranging from large public announcements to smaller private equity transactions.

Prior to Brunswick, Bryan spent six years at Joele Frank, most recently as their Director of Media Relations, where he focused heavily on private equity communications, including with L Catterton, Warburg Pincus, Paine Schwartz Partners and Aurora Capital. He also worked briefly for Extreme Reach, a leading provider of TV and digital video advertising solutions.

Bryan attended Cornell University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations. 


Q & A

What are you most proud of in your career?
Working with clients to tell the best version of their story and secure positive coverage in major publications has always been one of my favorite parts of the gig. 

Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
I’m ambidextrous to the degree that I once tried to do everything opposite-handed for a period of time (it went ok). 

How would your mother describe you?
A big-hearted, competitive kid with too many hobbies :)

What are your greatest strengths as a communications practitioner?
My ability to empathize with clients and to condense a complicated story into something bite-sized and intuitive.   

What is your favorite food?
Anything Peruvian.

Describe your perfect client.
One that challenges me and is comfortable being challenged.

What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
Watching films / TV, playing piano and writing stories. 

What’s your favorite part of the workday?
When I get on the Metro North at the end of the day, take a deep breath, and realize I accomplished everything (well, almost everything) I set out to do. 

Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
I’d like to think Hugh Jackman but probably somebody more like Jay Baruchel.
