Emily Roy is a Senior Vice President at Prosek Partners specializing in B2B, corporate and financial services accounts with a focus on executive visibility, asset management, wealth management and investment banking.
As a Senior Vice President, she is responsible for the creation and implementation of strategic communications plans; this includes media relations and thought leadership execution, high-tier CEO and executive visibility, content creation and day-to-day strategic counsel and account management. Emily leverages her strong network of media contacts to deliver high impact, strategic media placements for her clients that span the financial services industry.
Emily began her career at Peppercomm and prior to joining Prosek nine years ago, worked at consumer agency, Olson Engage. She graduated from Bentley University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and minored in Management.

What are you most proud of in your career?
I am most proud of the manager I have become. I love working through feedback with someone, helping my direct reports set and achieve their goals, and supporting those around me as a cheerleader and advocate.
Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
Emily is a family name, and I’m actually the fifth!
How would your mother describe you?
A joint response from both parents: “Em is an indomitable source of positive energy and fun.”
What are your greatest strengths as a communications practitioner?
I am enthusiastic, responsive and a problem-solving partner.
What is your favorite food?
Pizza – and I’m happy to pitch you on why this is the perfect answer.
Describe your perfect client.
I always say that the Prosek team brings their best self to work to deliver the best results every day, and I love a client that does the same. My perfect client is direct and collaborative. We should be able to give it to each other straight and work together to achieve results, while celebrating the wins along the way.
What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
My best friend and I try to go to The New York Times’ top 10 new restaurants in NY each year. Our favorite year so far was probably 2017, the year of the Scandinavian tasting menu.
I also volunteer with PAWS NY, an organization that helps the elderly keep their pets at home with weekly dog walking. I am running the NYC Marathon on behalf of PAWS, so I should (begrudgingly) add marathon training in Central Park as a hobby too.
And lastly, I love a Sunday on the couch with the NY Giants and / or F1 (go Lewis!).
What’s your favorite part of the workday?
I am definitely an early bird, and I enjoy getting through the news and cranking something out before the emails start coming in.
I also will never not love celebrating a great media win.
