Senior Vice President
Jonathan Marino is a Senior Vice President with Prosek Partners, managing a portfolio of investors including private equity firms, hedge funds, real estate investors and asset managers, advising on external and internal communications matters including brand awareness and content creation; reputational issues and crises; and media relations. He co-leads the firm’s Unboxed division, supporting private markets investors.
Before joining Prosek Partners in 2021, he served as a Director with Dukas Linden Public Relations, managing a similar portfolio of investors' media relations, content and thought leadership initiatives. Prior to this, Jonathan led startup Thinknum's communications initiative, where he directed events, content creation and media relations. He also spent time working with EY, developing content and supporting live events, including EY's annual Entrepreneur of the Year event. Jonathan enjoyed a 12-year career as an award-winning journalist, writing and editing with media organizations including CNBC and Thomson Reuters.
He received a BA from the University of Maryland - College Park, and resides in Brooklyn Heights, New York.

I have the opposite of a fear of heights and have been parachuting, bungee jumping, cliff diving & paragliding.

What are your greatest strengths as a communications practitioner?
As a former editor & reporter, I understand people in the press want to see a clear-cut value proposition for their beat and that they want me to get to the point quickly. I like working with most of my former media colleagues, and that’s part of what makes the engagements fun and the work enjoyable.

French, with the requirement that we regularly visit HQ.
What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
Cooking, hiking and travel.
