Joshua Rosen

Joshua Rosen is an advisor to private investment firms, publicly traded institutions, growth-stage companies and international law firms. He specializes in strategic communications, media relations, executive positioning, special situations and crisis management.

In addition to leading proactive communications programs, he has extensive experience counseling on a wide array of high-stakes issues, including M&A transactions, leadership transitions, government investigations and activist campaigns.

Prior to joining Prosek Partners, Joshua was a Vice President at Marathon Strategies. A selection of past clients includes Blackstone, Northwestern Mutual, Walmart, Holland & Knight, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and Crowell & Moring.

He has also served as a writer for executives and public officials, helping them craft keynote speeches and op-eds for top-tier publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The Washington Post, CNN and USA Today.

Earlier in his career, Joshua worked at a leading book review magazine and as a collaborator with several bestselling authors and investigative journalists. He provided research support to reporter and author Robert Kolker during the drafting of “Hidden Valley Road,” a book that went on to debut at number one on the New York Times nonfiction bestseller list. Joshua’s own work has been published in various outlets, including Philadelphia Magazine, where he wrote about the local public-school system and national politics, as well as Narratively, where he profiled a reformer of the health care system in a piece that was recognized as one of the publication’s most-read stories.

Joshua grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Political Science and Government. He received an MA from New York University, where he studied journalism.

What are you most proud of in your communications career?
I enjoy achieving high-impact results for clients and helping them form solutions when thorny issues arise.

Name one thing most people don’t know about you.
I have been a practicing meditator since before it was trendy.

How would your mother describe you?
Driven.

What are your greatest strengths as a communications practitioner?
Assessing challenges and opportunities from every angle and using that perspective to identify the best path forward. 

What is your favorite food?
All things Mediterranean.

One with ambitious objectives.

What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?
Reading, walking around New York City with my wife and going to shows (music, comedy, anything).

What’s your favorite part of the workday?
I enjoy writing my to-do list at the beginning of every day – or, even better, the night before.
