Susan joined Prosek Partners in 2000 and has more than two decades of experience in communications, public relations and journalism. She is a vice president and creates and executes communications plans for clients in insurance, banking, law, education and financial services. She specializes in thought leadership, corporate positioning and branding, issues management, and internal and external communications.
Susan is also the firm’s director of content creation and writing specialist. Susan produces and oversees a range of written materials for Prosek clients, including bylined articles, website copy, white papers, brochures, blogs, newsletters, marketing materials, Op-Eds and speeches. Susan’s work on behalf of clients has appeared in business publications such as the Wall Street Journal. Harvard Business Review, Forbes and CEO magazine; trade publications including National Underwriter, Financial Planning, Risk Management, and Business Insurance; and blogs such as the Huffington Post.
Prior to joining Prosek, Susan was deputy director of public information for New Haven Mayor John DeStefano Jr. She was a reporter for The Connecticut Law Tribune and The Berkshire Eagle, a daily newspaper in Pittsfield, MA. She also worked in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, Labor Racketeering Bureau, as an investigative analyst.
Susan earned a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She holds a bachelor’s degree in literature and creative writing from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA.
