Asher Levine is a Managing Director at Prosek.
Prior to joining Prosek, Asher was Managing Director, Global Corporate Communications at CPP Investments (CPPIB), one of the world’s largest institutional investors. At CPPIB, he was responsible for evaluating proposed transactions and fund commitments across the U.S. and Latin America for potential reputational impact, while also overseeing disclosure and managing media relations with partners.
Prior to CPP Investments, Levine held leadership positions at Red Banyan Group and JeffreyGroup, advising multinational clients on corporate reputation and stakeholder engagement. He started his career at ABC News in New York and spent four years as a financial news reporter with Reuters in São Paulo.
Asher holds a BA from Emory University and an MA from Columbia University.
I’m proud of the fact that I’ve been able to build an unusually well-rounded career for a PR practitioner, having worked as a real-time financial news reporter, as a communications executive at one of the world’s largest institutional investors, and as a leader on the agency side advising a diverse roster of clients.
I was once mugged at gunpoint by four children.
“He’s a good son. While I have you, can you take a look at my phone? I can’t get the Wi-Fi to connect. I think it’s defective. I took it to Verizon and they fixed it but now it’s not working again. I think it must be defective. Here, just take it, I don’t know.”
I am a committed evangelist for the Hershey’s Sundae Pie at Burger King.
One who believes in maintaining an open mind and an open dialogue. The best outcomes tend to flourish under those conditions.
We have two young children, so right now my non-work activities consist mainly of changing diapers and repeating the phrase “Alexa, play Let it Go by Idina Menzel on Spotify” over and over again.
