What are you most proud of in your career?

I’m most proud of the personal relationships I’ve built and maintained in the industry. A large number of my very best friends today are people I met 20 years ago as an Account Executive.

Name one thing most people don’t know about you.

If I name it, then they’d know!

How would your mother describe you?

She’d most likely say something along the lines of “he’s my favorite child” – mind you, I’m her only child…

What are your greatest strengths as a communications practitioner?

Having been on both the client and advisor side, I believe I have strong sense for not only what is being asked but also what is going to be the most useful and valuable to the stakeholders that matter.

What is your favorite food?

Whatever my two boys are willing to eat in that precise moment, so really that could be anything from plain pizza and buttered pasta to sashimi and shellfish.

Describe your perfect client.

One who utilizes and relies upon their communications agency as a true extension of their internal team. Oh, and one that is based somewhere warm.

What three hobbies or activities do you enjoy most?

As my friends and kids can attest, I like to relax by doing yard work and spending far too much time in my garden. When I’m not trying to relax, you’ll find me on the golf course. And then in the winter, there’s nothing more I love than skiing with my boys (and yes, they’re much faster and certainly more fearless than I am).

What’s your favorite part of the workday?

My favorite part of the day is whenever we hit send on a huge batch of materials to the client – it’s such a team effort to get there and there’s such a sense of accomplishment.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life?

Easy. The greatest actor of our generation, Nicolas Cage.

What is your favorite quote?

“You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.” – Bob Dylan
