Kris Cole has over a decade of experience advising companies and executives on communications strategies and campaigns designed to enhance connection with the stakeholders that matter to their businesses. She specializes in working within highly regulated and complex industries, such as alternative asset management, energy, professional services and investment management, both on proactive story-telling, networking and corporate reputation building strategies, as well as on issues management, such as executive scandals and management changes, spin-offs, layoffs, corporate bankruptcies, data breaches, boycotts and social movements.
Prior to joining Prosek, Kris worked for Abernathy MacGregor, a strategic communications firm, where she counseled C-Suite executives and Boards of Directors through business transformative events such as large transactions, high profile litigation, crises, restructurings and shareholder activism. Past clients include Pacific, Gas & Electric; City National Bank; Acxiom; and Bird Marella, representing the producers of The Walking Dead in their lawsuit against AMC Networks.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built across industries and my work with the Prosek teams I manage. I see every engagement as a team sport – we work as a team and we win as a team.
In high school, I played on the volleyball team that won a California state championship, and I continue to play volleyball every weekend on the beach.
I like to challenge the consensus view while at the same time keep an attitude that our goal is always to “get to yes.”
